in search of robert kerlin

I think that I have found Robert Kerlin, my Robert Kerlin. A search at familysearch.org for a John Kerlin, 1722, leads to a son , John, born 1752, who went forth and multiplied. While every one goes on and on about some of the sons that he sired, there, tucked away in obscurity is a Robert.

I know that I have found our Robert Kerlin. Everything fits.

But how to prove it ?
