To Do

Find these two deeds:

1801

October 10 : Robert buys Lot. 4 , Winchester from Groves, Graves ?

1805

October 12 : Robert buys part of Lot. 5, Winchester, from Jacob Harmer.

And look for this:

The only entry for Robert Kerlin in my book dealing with Wills of Frederick Co. VA 1816-1837 he was a buyer at the estate sales of Thomas Fawcett held 5 March 1813. You might check land deeds around that year.

There was a John Kerlin’s estate sales & executor account in 1801 & 1803, found in my Frederick Co. VA Will 1743-1816, you might try land deeds around those years.

One cannot help but noticing that Robert buys what seems to be his first piece of land right after John Kerlin’s estate sale/ executor account, 1801.

So, I need to find John Kerlin’s will or whatever that 1801 thing is. The implication seems to be that he lived in Frederick County also, so start there.
