in search of robert kerlin

How did Henry Kerlin and Maggie Carbis meet ? I cannot find any Carbis’ listed in the records of Mount Pleasant.

And yet, they were very, very young, Henry only being 18, rather young I find, for a run down to St. Louis, to the Catholic- rather shabby, I must add- part of St. Louis. These Crothers folks seem to be very, very presbyterian.

There is another family story, one that says that all of the Kerlins were a bit… skewed…because a first cousin married another first cousin. I had always assumed that this story came from the O’Neil side of the family, until a “Samuel Crothers Logan” popped up in a search.

Where did these two meet and where was their son born ?
