This Indenture made the thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve between Bennett Hall and Nancy his wife of Frederick County Virginia of the one part and Robert Kerlin of the other part, witnesseth that the said Bennett Hall for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred Dollars Current money of the united States unto him in hand paid by the said Robert Kerlin at or before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof doth release, acquit and discharge the said Robert Kerlin his heir, Executors and administrators, by these presents, the said Bennett Hall and Nancy his wife have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto the said Robert Kerlin his heirs and assigns, a certain piece parcel or track of land situate lying and being in the County of Frederick adjoining * Devatt Holbarger* on a drain of Cedar Creek and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a white oak corner to said Holbarger by a drain hence North forty degrees west two hundred poles to a white oak by the * former* road thence North fifty eight degrees west one hundred and sixty poles to some chestnut oaks on the top of a hill called the furnace hill thence with the same South sixty three degrees West one hundred and ninety two poles to said Holbargers corner thence with the same south fifty Degrees east one hundred and fifty two poles to

to the Beginning containing one hundred and forty seven acres be the same more or less which tract of Land was granted to Jacob Bower by a patent from Edmund Randolf Governor of the Commonwealth dated August 26th 1788 and was *devised* to George Bower by the last will and Testement of the said Jacob Bower who was the father of the said George Bower and the same was conveyed by the said George Bower and Caty his wife to the said Bennett Hall by Deed bearing date 2nd day of October 1809 now of record in the County Court of Frederick together with all and singular, the rights, Improvements, Heredetaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining and the Reversions and Remainders, Rents, Issues and profits thereof also all the estate right, title, Interest, use property, Claims and demand whatsoever, of them the said Bennett Hall and Nancy his wife in law or equity of and in the premises aforesaid, and every part thereof- To Have and to Hold, all and singular, the premises with the appurtenances hereby granted unto the said Robert Kerlin his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of the said Robert Kerlin his heirs and assigns forever and the said Bennett Hall hereby covenants for himself and his heirs that he is seized of good and indefeasible estate of Inheretance in the premises and that he hath good right to convey the same to the said Robert Kerlin in manner aforesaid. And Lastly *this* the said Bennett Hall and Nancy his wife and their heirs all and singular the premises hereby granted with their appurtenances unto the said Robert Kerlin his heirs and assigns against the Bennett Hall and Nancy his wife and their heirs and all and every other person and persons shall warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Testimony whereof the said Bennett Hall and Nancy his wife have hereunto set their hands and seala the day and year first above written.
